Cheer Registration Data Updated:

​Cheer Practice Schedule
Sidelines practice will begin on July 23, 2018.
The first week of practice (July 23, July 24, July 25, and July 26), practice will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Practices will be held by grade level and not by assigned squads.

Sideline Practices
Sidelines cheer practices will run from July 23 - November 13*

*(Practice dates 10/30, 11/6 and 11/13 will be for teams in the Playoffs and Super Bowl only)

  • Sidelines cheer practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm (July 31 - August 30)
  • Sidelines cheer practices will be held only on Tuesday from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm (September 4 - November 13)  
  • ​Note: K-1 will practice 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Competition Practices
Competition cheer practices will run from August 3 - November 16
Mandatory competition cheer assessment will be held on Friday, July 27 from 6 pm - 8 pm

  • Competition cheer practices will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm (August 3 - August 31)
  • ​Competition cheer practices will be held on Thursday and Friday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm (September 6 - November 16) - dates subject to change according to competition dates.

Cheer Academy
We will offer a cheer academy two days a week in the month of June. Click here for more information.

Cheer Camp
A Hoya Youth Sidelines Cheer Camp with the Harrison High School Cheerleaders is planned for July 16 - 20 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Click here for more information.

Sidelines Cheer Registration Packet includes:

Uniform rental items: Cheer Top, Skirt and Pom Poms
Uniform kept items: Bloomers, Practice T-shirt/Tank, Practice Shorts, Leggings, Jacket, Sidelines Bow and Pink Out wear (pink bow and socks). 

Competition Cheer Registration Packet includes:
Liner, Competition Bow, Bloomers and player entrance fees to competitions

Player Information
For all practices, the girls must:

  • wear shorts/leggings, tank/t-shirt, and tennis shoes (girls cannot practice in just socks or barefoot, this is for their safety)
  • have their hair pulled up
  • bring a towel to stretch/sit on
  • bring a lot of water to drink
  • bring bug spray
  • bring sunscreen
  • not wear jewelry to practice (if ears have been newly pierced, please cover with small Band-Aids to protect them)

All cheerleaders are expected to participate in all jamborees, regular season games, and playoff games throughout the entire season​​​.

All competition cheerleaders are expected to attend every scheduled practice. Coaches need to be notified of any absences before August 10, 2018. If more than two practices are missed without prior notification, the cheerleader will be dismissed from the team without refund.

Background Check
​Coaches will be required to complete a more in depth background check that will cost them $15. This background check link will be on the Cobb Football League website when parents are registering their children.  Coaches will also, have to show a valid id with photo before receiving their CFL badge.

Concussion Requirements
All coaches are required to take the free Heads Up Concussion training. Click the link 'Head Up Concussion In Youth Sports' to begin the training.  Once you've completed the course, you'll be presented with a completion certificate. Print this out and bring it when you check out your equipment. ​​
