Cheer Practice Schedule
Sidelines practice will begin on July 23, 2018.
The first week of practice (July 23, July 24, July 25, and July 26), practice will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Practices will be held by grade level and not by assigned squads.
Sidelines cheer practices will run from July 23 - November 13*
*(Practice dates 10/30, 11/6 and 11/13 will be for teams in the Playoffs and Super Bowl only)
Competition cheer practices will run from August 3 - November 16
Mandatory competition cheer assessment will be held on Friday, July 27 from 6 pm - 8 pm
We will offer a cheer academy two days a week in the month of June. Days and times TBA.
A Hoya Youth Sidelines Cheer Camp with the Harrison High School Cheerleaders is planned for July 16 - 20 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Sidelines Cheer Registration Packet includes:
Uniform rental items: Cheer Top, Skirt and Pom Poms
Uniform kept items: Bloomers, Practice T-shirt/Tank, Practice Shorts, Leggings, Jacket, Sidelines Bow and Pink Out wear (pink bow and socks).
Competition Cheer Registration Packet includes:
Liner, Competition Bow, Bloomers and player entrance fees to competitions
For all practices, the girls must:
All cheerleaders are expected to participate in all jamborees, regular season games, and playoff games throughout the entire season.
All competition cheerleaders are expected to attend every scheduled practice. Coaches need to be notified of any absences before August 10, 2018. If more than two practices are missed without prior notification, the cheerleader will be dismissed from the team without refund.

Coaches will be required to complete a more in depth background check that will cost them $15. This background check link will be on the Cobb Football League website when parents are registering their children. Coaches will also, have to show a valid id with photo before receiving their CFL badge.
All coaches are required to take the free Heads Up Concussion training. Click the link 'Head Up Concussion In Youth Sports' to begin the training. Once you've completed the course, you'll be presented with a completion certificate. Print this out and bring it when you check out your equipment.
