Sideline Practices - Lost Mountain Park

  • Week 1 of practices starting August 10th

    • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
    • Note: K-1 will practice 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm (full time) this week.
    • Practices will be held by grade level and not by assigned squads.  Squads are assigned in week 2.
  • Practice starting August 17th - August 27th 

    • Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm 
    • Note: K-1 will practice 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm each day
  • Practice starting September 1st- September 24th

    • Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm  
    • ​Note: K-1 will practice 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
  • Practice starting October 6 - October 27th

    • Tuesdays ONLY from 6:30 pm -8:00 PM
    • NOTE: ALL sidelines squads will practice 6:30-7:30 PM with competition squad starting at 7:30 PM
  • Practice starting November 3rd

    • ​Coach determination if football team is moving ahead in playoffs/superbowl.

​What to Wear

  • Practice

    • Shorts/tank top/t-shirt/sports bra and tennis or cheer shoes (leggings during colder months). Girls cannot practice in socks or barefoot for safety reasons
    • Hair must be in ponytail with cheer bow 
    • Towel for stretching
    • Water or Gatorade
    • Bug spray
    • FACE MASK – required to be with cheerleader at all times. Only used when social distancing cannot be maintained in K-3rd and for 4th-5th when stunting. 
    • NO JEWELRY to practice or games. (If ears have been newly pierced please cover with small band-aids)
    • NO GUM 
    • NO PHONES (unless they stay in a backpack – sidelines practice is a closed practice. Parents/responsible party must stay on site in their cars when practicing at Lost Mountain Park)

Coach Information

  • If you'd like to apply for a head coaching position, please email your intent to coach along with a resume or credentials to: Cheerad@HoyaYouthFootball.com
    • ​​Background Check

      • ​Coaches will be required to complete a more in depth background check that will cost them $25. This background check link will be on the Cobb Football League website when parents are registering their children.  Coaches will also, have to show a valid id with photo before receiving their CFL badge.
    • Concussion Requirements

      • All coaches are required to take the free Heads Up Concussion training. Click here 'Head Up Concussion In Youth Sports' to begin the training.  Once you've completed the course, you'll be presented with a completion certificate. Print this out and bring it when you check out your equipment. ​​
