Sideline Practices - Lost Mountain Park

  • Week 1 of practices starting July 29th, 2024

    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
    • Note: K-1 will practice 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (full time) this week ONLY
  • Practice starting August 5th - August 29th 

    • Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM. 
    • Note: K-1 will practice 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM each time
  • Practice starting September 3rd - September 26th

    • Tuesdays ONLY 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM  
    • ​Note: K-1 will practice 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
    • Note: There will be NO practice on Labor Day
  • Practice starting October 1st - October 31st

    • Tuesdays ONLY from 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM
    • Note: ALL sidelines squads will practice 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM with competition squad starting at 7:15 PM
  •  November Practices TBD

    • ​Coach determination if football team is moving ahead in playoffs/ Super bowl

​What to Wear

  • Practice

    • Shorts/tank top/t-shirt/sports bra and tennis shoes (leggings in the colder months) Girls cannot practice in just socks or barefoot, this is for their safety.
    • Hair pulled up in a ponytail with cheer bow
    • Towel to stretch/sit on
    • Plenty of water/Gatorade
    • Bug spray
    • No wear jewelry to practice (if ears have been newly pierced, please cover with small Band-Aids to protect them)
    • NO GUM!
    • NO PHONES (unless they stay in a backpack)
    • Sidelines practice is not a drop event. Parents/responsible party must stay on site.

*All cheerleaders are expected to participate in all jamborees, regular season games, and playoff games throughout the entire season​​​.

Coach Information

  • If you'd like to apply for a head coaching position, please email your intent to coach along with a resume or credentials to: Cheerad@HoyaYouthFootball.com
    • ​​Background Check

      • ​Coaches will be required to complete a more in depth background check that will cost them $25. This background check link will be on the Cobb Football League website when parents are registering their children.  Coaches will also, have to show a valid id with photo before receiving their CFL badge.
      • Background Checks are only required every 2 years.  If you had completed a 2021 background check or are a current Cobb County School employee and have any questions, please contact Cheerad@HoyaYouthFootball.com.
    • Concussion Requirements

      • All coaches are required to take the free Heads Up Concussion training. Click here 'Head Up Concussion In Youth Sports' to begin the training.  Once you've completed the course, you'll be presented with a completion certificate. Print this out and bring it when you check out your equipment. ​​

Cheer registration for 2023 has closed. Registration for the 2024 season will open in March.
