Week 1 practice starting July 24th:
Practice will be Monday through Friday from 7:30-9:00 PM
Monday through Wednesday will be helmets Only (players should wear Helmets, Shirts, shorts, cleats)
Players will need to participate in at least 2 or 3 of the helmet only practices before they start in full pads.
Thursday and Friday will be full pads for players that have fulfilled their helmet only practices.
Week 2 through end of season:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm
K/1 - Field 1 near scoreboard Back of End zone to the 20 yard line
2nd - Field 1 scoreboard side 20 Yard line to the 50 yard line
3rd - Field 1 road side side 50 Yard line to the 20 yard line
4th – Field 2 road side Back of end zone to the 50 yard line
5th – Field 2 scoreboard side Back of end zone to the 50 yard line
Boys will need a chin strap for their helmet, a mouth piece and cleats for the first three practices, and will need a practice jersey and practice pants for the remainder of the season as well. We carry all of these items in our spirit shack that will be open starting Monday night at 6:30.
Reminder: A parent or guardian should stay with their child during practice. Please do not drop off your child for practice, this is for safety measures. In addition, please do not drop off your child in the parking lot to cross the street nor do not drop off your child on the side of the fields to get out of the car. It blocks other cars behind you from moving forward.
Coaches will be required to complete a more in depth background check that will cost them $14. This background check link will be on the Cobb Football League website when parents are registering their children. Coaches will also, have to show a valid id with photo before receiving their CFL badge.
All coaches are required to take the free Heads Up Concussion training. Click the link 'Heads Up Concussion In Youth Sports' to begin the training. Once you've completed the course, you'll be presented with a completion certificate. Print this out and bring it when you check out your equipment.
